In our first campaign commercial George Muñoz shows why he is the strong Democrat we can count on to stand up for our values in New Mexico and he explains why his ONLY priority is protecting our schools and our land.
What Primary Voters Need to Know about George Muñoz:
George Muñoz is the strong Democrat we can count on to stand up for our values. His top priority is protecting the education budget for our students and teachers. That is why he stood up to Governor Martinez and others when they tried to cut public school budgets.
George Muñoz is a rancher and conservationist who is committed to protecting our state’s public lands and water resources. For New Mexico to thrive, we need to ensure our public lands will continue generating revenue for our schools.
As the Albuquerque Journal said in their endorsement of George Muñoz for public lands commissioner, he will work to “expand renewable energy projects to create a coherent energy policy that leverages wind, solar…to create new revenue streams for the state.” And as Land Commissioner, George Muñoz will implement a plan to get our workers trained for well-paying renewable energy jobs.
George Muñoz is the strong Democrat we can count on. Because he doesn’t owe political favors to outside groups, his ONLY priority is protecting our schools and our land.
What Primary Voters Need to Know about Garrett VeneKlasen:
Democratic primary voters, especially men in northern New Mexico, need to see on TV and hear on the radio that Garrett VeneKlasen does not share their values.
VeneKlasen, a Republican until 2015, refers to himself as a fiscal conservative and he has supported Republicans in the past. Additionally, voters need to know that VeneKlasen’s ideas on conservation are different from most primary voting Democrats. VeneKlasen has been a guide for rich out-of-state big-game trophy hunters who come to New Mexico to kill caged animals.
The images speak for themselves, but once voters see and read about his background, they know that VeneKlasen CANNOT be trusted to stand up for Democratic values and WILL NOT deliver on protecting our land, our water, or our education budgets the way other traditional Democrats have and will.
